Finding Your Personal Planning Style
If you are just joining the conversation – look back over the last couple of months to see our little dive into planning practices.
At the end of the day, these practices aren’t about perfection—they’re about connection. Connection to your future (planning), your reality (tracking), your heart (journaling), and your story (memory keeping).
The question isn’t “What’s the right way?” The question is “What’s my way?” You might thrive on color-coded spreadsheets, or maybe your system is a messy stack of sticky notes. Both are valid if they work for you.
ROBYNE RECOMMENDS: I love to watch planning and journaling videos on YouTube, but I have learned to pick and choose from ideas that will complement the system I have established.
FAITH FOCUS: There’s no one right way to do this—just like there’s no one right way to follow Jesus except to follow Him. Experiment, adapt, and find joy in the process. Colossians 3:17 reminds us: ‘Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks.’ That includes your planning, tracking, journaling, and memory keeping.
SUMMARY: Experiment. Mix and match. Let yourself evolve. You don’t need someone else’s Pinterest-perfect spread. You need what helps you feel grounded, joyful, and ready for what’s next. That’s your style.
