Mix it Up – Without the Burnout
Here’s where most people go wrong: they see planning, tracking, journaling, and memory keeping as four separate full-time jobs. No wonder we get overwhelmed.
The secret? Small integrations.
- Add a habit tracker in the corner of your weekly planner.
- Split a weekly or daily spread to include journaling and memory keeping.
- Turn your journal entry into a quick memory-keeping note by taping in a photo, ticket, receipt, etc.
- Reflect at the end of your weekly plan with a short journal sentence (“This week felt like…”).
ROBYNE RECOMMENDS: Give yourself grace. Take the time you need to integrate the practices that benefit your life. Start with one, and then add elements of the others. If any of these practices become frustrating, take a short break from it and access why. The more we try to implement at once, the harder it can be to move forward.
FAITH FOCUS: K.I.S.S. Keep it simple sister! God isn’t asking you to keep four perfect notebooks. He’s asking you to walk with Him. Sometimes a single prayer scribbled in your planner, or a gratitude note stuck in with your receipts, is enough. Keep it simple. Keep it faithful.
SUMMARY: You don’t need four notebooks. You just need small ways to let the practices overlap without taking over your life.
